About Me

Mark Francis, the guy at MarkansasYou could say that I’ve been working in user experience in one way or another my entire career, starting with print production, moving into advertising/marketing/corporate communications, then finally expanding into website design and interface design for web-based and distributed applications.

I’ve worked exclusively in UX/UI for the past eight years, designing interfaces for proprietary online (web and mobile) and distributed SaaS. As part of the process, I’ve created wireframes, sitemaps, prototypes, walkthroughs, style guides, and conducted user testing. Prior to that, I worked as a graphic designer on both the client and corporate sides, creating and managing brands as well as designing web sites, helping deliver an online accounting system, portals for real estate appraisers and mortgage lenders, created promotional sites for conferences and products, and websites for small businesses and best-selling authors.

I relish the challenge of improving the accessibility and usability of a design, whether it be print or digital, imagery or text. I like working something straight into something great and expanding my knowledge and skillset.
